My Aunt Joy recently passed away and, as the executor of her estate, I was responsible for many things, including cleaning out her house and getting it ready to sell.  What a tremendous help it was to call the VINE Home Thrift Store and arrange for them to pick up her furnishings and household items.   My aunt served as a volunteer and, when her health began to fail last year, VINE was right there with the services she needed to return home after a stay at a health care center.  After she passed away, besides just coming by to pick up the items we wished to donate, VINE’s  volunteers actually helped our family to pack up her things. The crew that came from the chore program made quick work of a task that would have taken weeks for my family to complete on our own.

 

It is comforting to know that Aunt Joy’s no longer needed belongings will be a blessing to someone else and also support an organization that does so much good in the community. VINE helped to complete the circle of my dear aunt’s life and I’m very grateful.
